In 2011, the Editorial Board of Macromolecular Research is made up of a new team of enthusiastic scientists whose expertise covers a broad subject range including two foreign members, Prof. Wai-Yeung Wong (Hong Kong Baptist University) and Prof. Chang Y. Ryu of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA. Prof. Wong has served for the Macromolecular Research since 2009, while Prof. Ryu was newly joined. Our 14 international advisors who are all leading polymer scientists around the world will serve continuously for the Macromolecular Research as for the year 2010.

Prof. Rigoberto Advincula of University of Houston, USA will undertake the editorship of the Macromolecular Research (Polymer Synthesis and Nanostructure) along with three other Korean editors, Prof. Hyoung Jin Choi of Inha University (Polymer Physics and Processing), Prof. Sun Hong Yuk of Hannam University (Biomedical and Bioactive Polymers), Prof. Eunkyoung Kim of Yonsei University (Polymers for Information Technology), and two publishing editors, Prof. Heejoon Ahn of Hanyang University and Dr. Mijeong Han of Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology. Prof. Choi, Prof. Ahn, and Dr. Han have served for the Macromolecular Research for the year 2010, too.

In particular, we welcome Prof. Advincula, who served as an editorial board member in 2010, as the first non-Korean editor of the Macromolecular Research since its birth from 1993. He is one of the world-class leading scientists in the field of polymer chemistry and polymer ultrathin films. He is Professor of Chemistry at University of Houston, Texas, USA. He received his BSc from University of Phillippines in 1987 and his PhD from the University of Florida in 1994. He is also a member of the editorial advisory boards for Macromolecules, Chemistry of Materials, Macromolecular Rapid Communications, Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Polymers for Advanced Technologies (PAT), and Journal of Bioactive and Compatible Polymers.

As is known, the 2010 impact factor of the Macromolecular Research has been released 2.369. All of our editorial teams will do our best to maintain the high quality of the Macromolecular Research and serve for the readers and reviewers more enthusiastically than ever in the year 2011.

With best wishes
