The growing demand for wearable and portable electronics highlights the need for sustainable, self-powered systems with enhanced hygiene. However, conventional triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) often suffer from bacterial contamination. Herein, we report a dual-function antibacterial film-based TENG (AF-TENG) using quaternary ammonium-grafted PVDF (NH4-PVDF) as a tribo-positive layer. Grafted cationic monomers enhance the dielectric constant, β-phase content, and tribo-positivity, thus enhancing the TENG performance. As a result, the 40 wt% NH4-PVDF-based AF-TENG achieves a high-power density of 134 mW m-2, 24.1 times higher than that of pristine PVDF-CTFE, and maintains stable output over 21,000 cycles. Additionally, it exhibits 99.99% antibacterial activity against S. aureus and P. aeruginosa. This work offers a scalable approach for fabricating multifunctional TENGs, addressing both performance and hygiene for next-generation self-powered wearable electronics.
