Although liquid electrolytes offer high ionic conductivity, safety concerns have prompted the development of alternative materials. Polymer and solid-state electrolytes provide enhanced thermal and electrochemical stability, despite lower conductivity. Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), a common polymer electrolyte, exhibits high crystallinity and strong lithium–oxygen interactions, limiting lithium-ion mobility. In this study, we synthesized sulfur-containing polymer electrolytes using episulfide-based monomers to improve flexibility and reduce crystallinity. The larger atomic radius of sulfur is expected to alleviate structural constraints and enhance redox reversibility. The materials were characterized by ¹H NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy, and their electrochemical performance was assessed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and charge–discharge cycling.
