Organic solar cell (OSC) employing a FAPbI₃ perovskite quantum dot (PQD)-based electron transport layer (ETL) exhibits enhanced power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability. The PQD ETL broadens absorption from UV to NIR, complementing the PM6:Y6BO active layer. Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) from PQDs improves exciton generation and photocurrent. The dipole moment of PQDs aligns energy levels and facilitates charge transport, thereby boosting the PCE from 15.4% to 18.0% and the Jsc from 25.4 to 28.9 mA cm⁻². External quantum efficiency reaches 88% at 570 nm, with improved charge dissociation probability (99.0%) and reduced recombination. The PQD-based OSC retains 95% of initial PCE after one week and 85% after 16 days, outperforming the reference. These results highlight PQDs as multifunctional ETL materials that improve light absorption, charge dynamics, and stability.
