Study on Polyurethane-Based Composites for Enhanced Functionality

In this presentation, we report a series of functional polyurethane-based materials developed in our laboratory. Conductive resin solutions were prepared using ABS-like and soft polyurethanes as 3D printing media, yielding composites with enhanced electrical and mechanical properties and excellent printability. In addition, a fabrication technique for nanoporous polyurethane foams was developed using eco-friendly blowing agents to enhance their utility as thermoplastic elastomers. These polyurethane-based materials are expected to contribute to the advancement of high-performance materials applicable to various fields, including lightweight components, thermal interface materials (TIMs), electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, thermal insulation, and sound absorption.
