Encryption and decryption systems based on multi-stimuli responsiveness (e.g. temperature, pH, mechanical force) have received significant attention for secure information storage. Despite these important contributions, most research has focused on multi-stimuli platforms, and fundamental understanding of parameters governing single-stimulus responsiveness-especially the critical control of reversibility-remains limited. Herein, we present a dual-polymer composite that exhibits reversible, strain-dependent transparency modulation. By systemically investigating the parameters governing both the optical response and reversibility, we developed a reconfigurable encryption platform that provides deeper insight for practical applications. Precise modulation of these trade-off parameters enables the implementation of an encryption system with tailored mechanical responsiveness and enhanced information security.
