MXene is a promising two-dimensional material for electronics and thermal applications such as heaters, owing to its excellent conductivity, mechanical strength, and surface chemistry. However, its flake-like morphology makes it difficult to form transparent and uniform thin films via simple methods like spin coating, and its conductivity significantly decreases as the film becomes thinner. Herein, we fabricated a transparent and uniform composite thin-film heater by blending MXene with PEDOT:PSS using a one-step spin-coating process. Post-treatment with trifluoroacetic acid enhanced the conductivity of the PEDOT component by doping. Furthermore, micropatterning the PEDOT:PSS/MXene film confined electron pathways, resulting in significantly improved Joule heating performance. This approach enables the development of high-performance transparent electrodes and broadens the application scope of MXene-based materials in advanced electronics and thermal management.
