Electronically conductive polymers are attractive for thermoelectric applications due to their easy processability, tunable electrical properties, and mechanical flexibility. Incorporating self-healing mechanisms further allows these materials to maintain their intrinsic electrical and mechanical performance over time, contributing to enhanced durability and sustainability. Such self-healing thermoelectric polymers are particularly promising for wearable devices, which are often subjected to harsh conditions and mechanical damage that degrade thermoelectric efficiency. By enabling recovery from these damages, self-healing polymers can prolong device performance. We review recent advances in self-healing organic and organic–inorganic composite thermoelectric materials, highlighting current research trends, limitations, and future challenges.
