The remarkable rise of metal halide perovskites (MHP) over the past decade has positioned them as promoting candidates for next-generation optoelectronic applications. However, MHP are often plagued by intrinsic defects that facilitate halide migration and phase segregation, ultimately reducing charge carrier lifetimes and device stability. In this study, we introduce a straightforward defect passivation strategy using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), which significantly enhances both photostability and photoluminescence efficiency. The dual functionality of SDS where its anionic and cationic components consistently passivate uncoordinated lead/halide sites and Schottky-type cation vacances suppresses halide migration and mitigates compositional instability. The passedivated films exhibit extended carrier lifetime of up to ~65 ns and maintain a long-lived photograph (~56 ns) even under prolonged illumination, in contrast to the rapid degradation observed in untreated sample
