The development of eco-friendly catalytic systems for environmental remediation has became increasingly important. In this study, we tuned the catalytic properties by controlling the shape of palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) and applied them to the redcution of Cr(VI) for water purification. The synthesized catalysts exhibited high Cr(VI) removal efficiency, and their performance was found to depend on the shpae of the catalyst particles. Furthermore, a porous hydrogel was fabricated using a solid particle-stabilized emulson system, into which the catalyst particles were embedded. This approach enabled the resuability of costly noble metal catalysts. Our findings demonstrate the potential of sustainable, bio-based catalytic platforms for efficient and eco-friendly water treatment technologies.
