Achieving both fast charging and high energy density is essential for commercializing electric vehicles and portable electronics. However, increasing active material content and adopting a high loading level to enhance energy density conflicts with achieving fast charging capability. In this study, disodium phosphate (Na2HPO4) is introduced as a novel additive to accelerate Li+ lithiation/delithiation kinetics by forming a Li3PO4-based solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer. The Li₃PO₄ SEI layer accelerates the Li⁺ de-solvation process, improving high C-rate performance, with a 55% increase in high-rate charging capacity at 2C compared to the reference. Furthermore, accelerated lifetime degradation testing of a full cell (13 µL electrolyte) demonstrated superior capacity retention of 84.62% and 77.41% after 100 and 200 cycles, respectively, compared to 79.84% and 62.32% for the reference.
