Recently, lithium metal batteries have emerged as promising next-generation energy storage systems; however, due to safety concerns associated with flammable organic solvents, there is growing interest in replacing them with solid-state electrolytes. In particular, polymer-based solid electrolytes have attracted considerable attention owing to their high stability and interfacial compatibility. Among various polymer candidates, poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) offers excellent mechanical strength and electrochemical stability, but its intrinsically low ionic conductivity makes it unsuitable as a standalone electrolyte. In this study, we propose an integrated crosslinking and polymer-in-salt strategy that effectively overcomes the conventional trade-off challenges. In addition, the adoption of an ether-free structure using the novel crosslinker N,N′-Bis(vinylsulfonylacetyl)ethylenediamine contributed to wide electrochemical stability, resulting in high overall performance.
