Lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) have garnered significant attention as next-generation photoactive materials due to their excellent optical properties such as high color purity with narrow emission and high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY). However, their poor chemical and environmental stability, due to their ionic nature and low formation energy, remains a major challenge. In this study, we synthesized green-emitting core/shell PNCs by coating a Cs4PbBr6 shell onto a CsPbBr3 PNC core through precursor ratio and temperature control in a Cs-Pb-Br system. A surface-triggered phase transition via oleylamine (OLA) converted the CsPbBr3 surface into Cs4PbBr6, enabling epitaxial shell growth. Moreover, surface passivation with organic ligands further improved their colloidal stability, enabling good dispersibility in nonpolar solvents. As a result, these core/shell PNCs showed highly bright green emission while exhibiting significantly enhanced chemical stability.
