Porous chitosan-based hydrogels were succesfully fabricated via low-thermally induced phase separation using alcohol as non-solvent resulting nanofibrous structure. The incorporation of chitosan-based hydrogels with photothermal materials enchanced the hydrogel's adsorption and thermal properties, it provided more functional groups for in-situ reduction of nanoparticles (NPs) and uniform NPs distribution facilitated effective contact to reduce pollutants rapidly. This green and reuseable catalytic platform shows promising performance for aqueous-phase catalytic applications, offering advantages in ease of recorvery and environmentally friendly synthesis.
