Patterning of Ga-based liquid metals (LM) is promising candidates for soft circuits owing to their superior conductivity and exceptional stretchability. However, LMs have difficulties in patterning process such as direct printing or laser ablation due to their high surface tension and fluidity. These limitations lead to leakage of LM traces and poor pattern resolution. To overcome the issue, we introduced photopolymerizable conductive ink with LM microparticles (LMPs). The patterns were rapidly fabricated within 10 seconds under 365 nm UV light using a photomask and could be easily activated by pressing or rubbing. The sintered LMP-rich and polymer-rich phases showed no cracking or delamination under repetitive mechanical deformation. The LMP photo-pattern exhibited high resolution and excellent electrical conductivity with stable joule heating performance. We believe our method may provide a new pathway to design deformable electric heaters for wearable electronics.
