In organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs), conventional planar structures typically use only one side of the active layer, limiting gate modulation and overall performance. Traditional bottom-up methods require sequential layering on a single substrate, restricting process flexibility and architectural innovation. To address these issues, we adopted a water-assisted transfer printing technique to fabricate a suspended organic semiconductor (OSC) film independently and transfer it onto various substrates. Capillary forces during transfer induce controlled wrinkling in the OSC film, enhancing mechanical strength and flexibility without compromising electrical performance. This suspended, wrinkled morphology improves gate control and device stability. Our approach offers a simple, adaptable platform for fabricating synaptic transistors, advancing neuromorphic and wearable bioelectronics.
