This study introduces a novel strategy for optimizing hole transporting layer (HTL) via self-assembled monolayer (SAM) post-treatment for the transfer-laminated PEDOT:PSS to fabricate high performance organic photovoltaics (OPVs) and photodetectors (OPDs). The post-treatment of transfer-laminated PEDOT:PSS with SAMs not only effectively removed the insulating PSS chains, but also established robust interfacial linkage between the ITO substrate and the active layer. The chemical and morphological enhancement led to improved charge transport and reduced leakage current of fabricated OPVs and OPDs, achieving power conversion efficiency of 15.22% and specific detectivity of 1.33×1013Jones. Comprehensive electrical analyses further demonstrate significant enhancements in resistance values of the devices, supporting the origin of the improvements. These findings provide valuable guidance for the development of next-generation organic semiconductor-based photoelectronic devices.
