Gate‐Dependent Mobility Measurements in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

Reliable measurement of gate‐dependent mobility profile is essential for understanding charge transport in organic mixed ionic–electronic conductors (OMIEC), yet current methodologies remains poorly standardised. Here, we propose two complementary methods — gate‐dependent impedance matching and gate‐dependent time‐of‐flight for extracting gaet-dependent mobility profiles — and their comprehensive analysis in organic electrochemical transistors. We demonstrate that the techniques are reliable mobility extraction methods across the entire device operation range for multiple prototype OMIECs, in addition to establishing key criteria for providing standardised practical guidelines that can be adopted as a robust, material-independent experimental approach for mobility extraction of a diverse material systems available.
