This talk presents a long-term research effort focused on developing new design strategies for conducting polymers to realize high-performance organic optoelectronic devices. Departing from the conventional crystallinity-centered paradigm, this study introduces a molecular design based on low-crystallinity P3HT derivatives that enable efficient charge transport through localized aggregates in disordered structures. This approach not only achieved high charge carrier mobility but also ensured mechanical flexibility. Based on this concept, various donor–acceptor (D-A) polymers were synthesized and successfully applied to organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), organic photovoltaics (OPVs), and perovskite solar cells (PSCs), demonstrating excellent performance and compatibility with green processing. This work moves beyond conventional material synthesis, offering a new perspective in polymer design and laying a foundation for future organic optoelectronic technologies.
