Urea network (UN) nanogels, synthesized via sol–gel polymerization of multi-functional amines and isocyanates, can be polymerized at room temperature and exist as stable colloidal sols in solution. This allows for uniform surface coating during post-processing with various materials such as graphene oxide or TiO₂. Upon heat treatment, the nanogels undergo structural rearrangement, forming a thermally stable and mechanically robust network. Additionally, carbonization enables electrical conductivity. Based on these properties, this study explores the potential of UN nanogels as a surface-coating layer that can function similarly to polymeric binders, aiming to improve interfacial stability and overall electrode performance.
