Abstract

Currently, liquid electrolytes, which are the most widely used electrolytes in lithium secondary batteries, have low interfacial resistance and high ionic conductivity, but they have many problems in terms of stability. As a result, research is being conducted on solid electrolytes, which are more stable than liquid electrolytes, but the problem is that they have low ionic conductivity at room temperature.
In this study, we synthesize monomers containing an epoxy group, which facilitates polymerization, and a carbonate group, which can form weak coordination bonds with lithium ions to enhance ionic conductivity. Based on these monomers, we investigate polymer electrolytes. Subsequently, polymer electrolytes are prepared via in-situ polymerization of the synthesized monomers with LiFSI.
The synthesized monomers were analyzed using FT-IR, and the electrochemical properties of the polymer electrolyte were analyzed using EIS, LSV, CV, tLi+, and charge-discharge tests.
