Abstract
Metallocene catalysts, featuring single-site active centers, offer exceptional capabilities in controlling polymer molecular weight distribution, stereoregularity, and comonomer incorporation. This precision enables the production of high-performance polyolefins applied across packaging, automotive, and medical material sectors. Recent research has focused on structurally diverse catalyst systems, including ansa‑metallocenes, half‑metallocenes, and post‑metallocene variants, coupled with efforts to enhance sustainability and recyclability. In this presentation, we will review the latest developments in metallocene catalyst architectures, copolymer design strategies, and industrial implementation cases, and introduce SPCI’s state-of‑the‑art metallocene catalyst facility, which is equipped to support advanced polymerization processes.
