Abstract
For diseases of ARDS, polymer-based pulmonary surfactants provide a promising solution. Previous studies have shown that PEG-PS-based polymeric surfactants can reduce surface tension. However, in real biological environments, PEG-PS-based polymeric surfactants have limitations. Therefore, this study aims to solve the low ESP(Equilibrium Spreading Pressure) of PEG segment in PEG-PS-based polymeric surfactants, synthesizing a new amphiphilic block copolymer in which the PEG segment is replaced with a poly(oxazoline)-based polymer. Furthermore, considering the effects of crystallization tendency and the effects caused by the thermoresponsive temperature. Additional modifications were made to the polymer. Finally, compared the performance differences between micelles formed by the two block copolymers and the interfacial properties at the air-liquid interface. These results were used to explore the potential of using these amphiphilic block copolymers as pulmonary surfactants.
