Abstract
Achieving precise energy level alignment at the electrode–semiconductor interface is crucial for high-performance organic Schottky diodes, especially in soft, stretchable electronics. Here, we present a fully elastomeric Schottky diode where all components—cathode, anode, and semiconductor—are intrinsically stretchable. Electrical performance is optimized by tuning the work function of PEDOT:PSS electrodes via a simple PSS doping process, enabling controlled ohmic contacts with the semiconductor PTB7-th. The device exhibits excellent mechanical durability along with a high rectification ratio and low leakage current. Key parameters, such as ideality factor and schottky barrier height, match theoretical values, validating our interface design. The diode is also integrated into a EMG-sensing circuit to demonstrate practical utility in energy-efficient soft electronics. These results highlight the potential of our elastomeric diode as a mechanically robust and electrically optimized platform for next-generation wearable and bio-integrated systems.
