Abstract

Conventional conjugated polymers, which have a uniform and repeating electronic structure, have limited bandgap tunability and low charge mobility. This challenge precise control of their electrical and optical properties. In contrast, organic semiconductor polymers have a donor-acceptor based repeating structure, resulting in a narrower bandgap and conductivity. In this study, we synthesized donor-acceptor structure-based conjugated polymers to overcome the limitations of conventional materials. The process involves the synthesis of two monomers followed by polymerization. A conjugated polymer was polymerized using a donor moiety based on an alkoxy-substituted benzene ring and an acceptor moiety consisting of a benzothiadiazole core linked to thiophene units. Each synthetic step was confirmed by FT-IR and ¹H NMR spectroscopy. In addition, UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis exhibited fluorescence emission, indicating the presence of a conjugated structure
