Abstract

Electrochemical nanosensors provide high sensitivity and rapid response via efficient charge transfer at active sites. Their performance depends on the electroactive surface area and surface groups involved in analyte interaction. Block copolymers allow nanoscale patterning, enabling precise control over these active regions. In this study, we fabricated a gold nanoparticle (AuNP)-based sensing platform using self-assembled PS-b-P4VP thin films as templates. We controlled the AuNP size and compared sensor performance according to particle size on indium tin oxide (ITO) substrates. The AuNPs were then functionalized for target detection. Electrochemical properties were evaluated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Sensor performance was assessed using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) for the detection of various electroactive substances including dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA), uric acid (UA), and other redox-active analytes.
