Abstract

The demand for wearable electronics has increased the need for deformable energy storage systems. However, conventional batteries with rigid metal-foil current collectors and active materials face limitations in such applications. Additionally, electrolyte leakage and structural degradation limit their use.
We developed a stretchable electrode using a PVDF-based binder with an azide-based crosslinker, enhancing elasticity and interfacial adhesion. Applying the same binder to the current collector improved interfacial compatibility and mechanical cohesion under strain. Additionally, a UV-crosslinkable solid polymer electrolyte was introduced, offering high elasticity, ionic conductivity, and strong adhesion. The entire cell was fabricated via sequential screen printing using orthogonal solvent systems and carefully tuned solubility parameters. This multilayer assembly ensured mechanical robustness and chemical compatibility, effectively preventing delamination.
