Abstract

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) possess excellent electrical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties, which are further enhanced in nanostructured forms. In this study, we employed meniscus-based 3D nanoprinting to fabricate freestanding CNT-based 3D architectures. Proposed fabrication method provides various advantages such as design flexibility, cost-efficiency and nanoscale resolution.
We successfully printed CNT nanostructuressuch as pillars and bridgesand applied to the inter-electrode connections for fabrication of chemical sensor devices. The CNT-based sensors demonstrated high sensitivity toward various volatile organic compounds (VOCs), confirming their potential as multifunctional chemical sensors.
Our results indicate that droplet-based 3D nanoprinting is a promising and scalable strategy for fabricating CNT-based devices and sensors, offering great potential for future nanoelectronic and sensing applications.
