Abstract
Polymer-based optical films with surface microstructures have attracted considerable attention for improving the light outcoupling efficiency in optoelectronic devices. Conventional methods for inducing wrinkle patterns in polymer-based optical films require high annealing temperatures, plasma treatment, photolithography, or UV-ozone exposure. However, these methods increase process complexity and restrict substrate options. In this study, we proposed a simple fabrication process for self-wrinkled PDMS/Parylene films to improve light outcoupling efficiency in optoelectronic devices. During the deposition process, the self-wrinkled pattern was generated due to the mechanical stress differential resulting from Parylene infiltration into the PDMS. The optical performance of self-wrinkled PDMS/Parylene films was systematically evaluated by measuring the transmittance, haze, and luminance. As a result, the self-wrinkled PDMS/Parylene films significantly improved the light outcoupling efficiency.
