Abstract
We demonstrate high-resolution vertical organic electrochemical transistor (OECT) arrays with facile and general micropatterning approach for polymeric electronic channel materials using electron-beam lithography. The highly energetic electrons enable direct electronic conversion from semiconducting to insulating state through molecular disordering and bond dissociation. Thus, high-resolution vertical OECT active matrix arrays are successfully fabricated on a skin-like soft platform with excellent electronic characteristics such as high transconductances, fast transient times, and ultra-stable switching properties. Particularly, we present vertically stacked complementary logic circuits, which are essential components for digital processing and logic operations. Our new architecture offers broad applicability to multifunctional and multiplexed state-of-the-art electronics with high-density wearable device applications as well as human-oriented bioelectronics.
