A Pioneering Journey Toward Advanced Optoelectronics: From Molecular Insight to Device Innovation

Abstract
This talk presents a long-term research effort focused on improving the performance of organic electronic materials through new design approaches for molecular and device structures. Moving beyond the traditional crystallinity-centered paradigm, this work introduces molecular structures that allow effective charge transport in disordered systems and device strategies that enhance interfacial properties. Rather than isolated material or device development, the study investigates correlations among structure, properties, and function, offering insights into core device mechanisms. These materials and strategies have been applied to various organic and hybrid optoelectronic devices, including solar cells, transistors, and sensors, demonstrating high performance, mechanical flexibility, and green process compatibility. This work offers a new direction in function-driven material design and helps build the foundation for future optoelectronic technologies.
