Organic electrochemical transistors are emerging as key building blocks for neuromorphic electronics by combining information storage and processing within a single device. Here, we present a zwitterion-based molecular design to enhance ion trapping in polymer semiconductors. Zwitterionic chains are incorporated through a photochemical crosslinking strategy, creating electrostatically stabilized ionic environments. When implemented in organic electrochemical transistors, this approach enables nonvolatile operation, reversible and analog conductance modulation, and prolonged retention. The resulting devices exhibit a widened memory window and pronounced hysteresis arising from electrostatic ion trap, allowing stable and reconfigurable conductance states. This work highlights a materials-driven pathway toward energy-efficient neuromorphic hardware and robust bio-inspired electronic systems.
